Black Country-based water safety specialists Nant Limited are spreading cheer by supporting local good causes during the winter months.
Nant colleagues, based at their head office in Broad Street, Bilston, have been busy collecting warm winter clothes for homeless charity The Good Shepherd, which were delivered to their HQ in Wolverhampton.
One of three local good causes to be supported by Nant during December, the Good Shepherd work to create sustainable pathways out of poverty to end homelessness in Wolverhampton.
Nant Director Jamie Green commented: “Nant decided to support the Good Shepherd after colleagues spent the night outdoors as part of the Wolverhampton Wanderers Big Sleep Out, an event to raise funds and awareness of homelessness in the community.
“After experiencing the freezing cold conditions spending the night sleeping outside, we decided to continue supporting the Good Shepherd by providing warm winter clothing. Colleagues have collected items such as coats, jumpers, hats, and gloves.
“We plan to continue our work with the charity in 2022 by offering job coaching for the homeless and vulnerable.”
Nant colleagues continued the festive good will on Christmas Jumper Day (December 11th) by donning their favourite festive jumpers and raising £60 for The Edward’s Trust.
The Edward’s Trust supports children and families facing loss and surviving bereavement across the West Midlands. Over the last 12 months Nant has fundraised for the Edward’s Trust to contribute towards the charity’s counselling, play therapy and wellbeing services.
To complete their Christmas charity activity, Nant presented a cheque for £360 to the Wolverhampton Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Meadow View Wharf, Newbridge. Throughout 2021, Nant held a series of fundraising efforts including a charity football match to support the centre, which provides oxygen therapy and other support for those living with the long-term debilitating condition.
Clients include leading care home groups, as well as commercial premises for well-known brands including The Gym Group, the Café Rouge restaurant group and luxury hotel chain Harbour Hotels.
The company fundraises for local causes as part of its drive to give back to the community where it has been based for more than 25 years.
