Nant’s Jamie Green to run half marathon for Midlands Air Ambulance
Nant Operations Director Jamie Green is getting his running shoes ready for a half marathon to raise funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
On Sunday 17th September, Jamie will be taking part in the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon in Wales.
Starting and finishing in the village of Llanwddyn, Powys, the 21.26km route will cover a clockwise lap of the stunning Lake Vyrnwy, offering spectacular views all the way round.
All money raised by Jamie will be donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance, whose mission is to provide patients with outstanding pre-hospital care and lifesaving intervention through the operation of helicopter-led medical services.
The charity operates and funds three air ambulances covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. Each year it costs up to £12 million to maintain the three aircraft and their lifesaving services.
As one of the charity’s corporate partners, Nant has been supporting the good cause for the past four years.
Jamie commented: “I’m really looking forward to the event not only to challenge myself but also to raise funds for a charity I’m really passionate about.
“The Midlands Air Ambulance does incredible work saving lives and improving survivors’ quality of life through its emergency service, and it relies entirely on the generosity of local people and businesses.
“This will be my first big running event for a while, so it might be tough, but I’ll be getting lots of practice runs in beforehand to make sure I’m ready for the big day. Any donations will be very gratefully received. Thank you!”
