Nant Operations Director Jamie Green has completed a half marathon in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance.
On Sunday 17th September, Jamie took part in the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon in Wales.
Starting and finishing in the village of Llanwddyn, Powys, the 21.26km route covered a clockwise lap of Lake Vyrnwy, offering spectacular views all the way round.
So far, Jamie has raised well over £700, but there is still time to donate. All money raised will be donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance, whose mission is to provide patients with outstanding pre-hospital care and lifesaving intervention through the operation of helicopter-led medical services.
The charity operates and funds three air ambulances covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. Each year it costs up to £12 million to maintain the three aircraft and their lifesaving services.
As one of the charity’s corporate partners, Nant has been supporting the good cause for the past four years.
Jamie commented: “Thank you to everyone who has donated to my fundraiser. All your support kept me motivated running round the course. It was a great event and I look forward to the next challenge!
“The Midlands Air Ambulance does incredible work saving lives and improving survivors’ quality of life through its emergency service. It relies entirely on the generosity of local people and businesses, so any donations will be very gratefully received.”
Corporate Partnerships Manager Pam Hodgetts said: “Well done on completing the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon. On behalf of everyone at the charity, I would like to express a huge thank you for raising money for life-saving missions.”
