Nant welcomes training portal intern
Nant has welcomed university student Rohan Sharma on an internship to work on a project supporting the business with its training portal.
Rohan, who is studying accounting and finance at the University of Exeter, joined Nant in January on an eight-month internship to help the business promote its training portal, which offers e-learning courses on water safety topics such as legionella awareness as well as general health and safety and business modules.
The e-learning is available to support Nant clients as well as external people and organisations keen to improve their health and safety and business knowledge.
Rohan commented: “Doing an internship is a great way to gain exposure to all the different elements of a business. Working at Nant has been especially interesting because it’s a growing business and one that’s really versatile.
“Creating a business plan for the training portal is enabling me to put my finance skills into practice and gain some really useful transferable skills.
“Everyone is really nice here and has been highly supportive of my development, so it’s a very valuable experience.”
Nant managing director Carl Baker commented: “We’re really pleased to welcome Rohan to the team. Offering apprenticeships, internships and learning and development opportunities is something that’s important to us as at Nant, to help people gain the skills they need for the future and ensure the long-term success of the business.
“The work that Rohan is doing with our training portal will make a great contribution to the business. The platform provides really useful learning resources to clients like care homes who want to educate their teams on water safety, and because the training is available online, it’s easily accessible at any time.”
