Nant team clocking up the miles for Dementia UK
Fresh from their 100k dog walking challenge, the Nant team are clocking up the miles again, this time it’s the Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon.
Nant Managing Director Carl Baker, Operations Director Jamie Green, Technical Director Richard Deakin and Plumbing Services Supervisor, Chris Worthington will be putting on their running shoes to complete the 13-mile race for their chosen charity of the year, Dementia UK.
The Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon, which takes place on July 2nd, is a unique point to point race along the canal towpaths between Wolverhampton City Centre and Brindley Place in Birmingham.
The route includes the famous 360 metre ‘Coseley Tunnel’ floating drink stations along the canal and finishes in the heart of Brindley Place, Birmingham.
Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity, providing life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia.
Nant Managing Director Carl Baker commented:
“Our aim this year is to raise £2,000 for our chosen charity, Dementia UK. Following our 100k dog walk in March we are almost a quarter of the way to hitting our target.
“We have supported Dementia UK and related good causes for a number of years now. It’s an illness that has not only affected colleagues personally but through our work in care homes across the country too.”
