Wolverhampton based water safety specialists Nant Limited have been recognised as a finalist for Medium Employer of the Year at the Express and Star Apprenticeship Awards 2022.
Nant has been shortlisted due to their rich heritage for developing apprentices and ethos of placing the development of employees at its core.
The awards recognise the cream of Black Country organisations providing apprenticeship opportunities to learners in the region and this category in particular celebrates businesses who have gone above and beyond to train and nurture their apprentices.
Managing Director Carl Baker commented: “Being named as a finalist at the Express and Star Apprenticeship Awards is a huge achievement for the business.
“Apprentices play a vital role in our growth strategy for the future. We are committed to developing talented people and apprenticeships are a fantastic vehicle of how we are building a workforce for the future.”
Since 2020 Nant has recruited, trained, and developed five apprentices via its apprenticeship programme. The exposure, support, and opportunities the apprentices have been provided with has not only developed personal skills such as communication and confidence but given the apprentices to generate fresh new ideas and the chance to innovate and improve how things are done.
Established in 1994 to provide top-quality service in Legionella control, Nant Ltd is a specialist provider of water safety services and products. With clients across the UK, Nant provides innovative systems to ensure water supplies are as safe and secure as possible.
With a younger management team in place to lead the business, the company fundraises and supports local causes as part of its drive to give back to the Wolverhampton community where it has been based for nearly 30 years.
The winners will be revealed at the Express and Star Apprenticeship Awards at Grand Station, Birmingham on November 3rd.
