Nant land prestigious finalist placing at leading business awards

Nant have been named as a finalist for a top award from the Black Country Chamber of Commerce. Having scooped the excellence in science, technology and innovation prize in 2022, Wolverhampton-based Nant will be hoping they can achieve back to back wins by landing the medium or large business award when the winners are announced in November. Finalists in 13 categories have been shortlisted ahead of the awards ceremony, which is expected to be attended by 500 people on Thursday 9 November 2023 at Wolverhampton Racecourse. This year, the Black Country Chamber has staged the awards with the theme of celebrating the “talent, tenacity and transformation” of local businesses, their people, and their leaders. The medium or large business category is “open to any business employing more than 51 full-time employees and demonstrating exceptional strategic leadership, performance or growth, commitment to customers and any plans for future expansion or innovation”. Nant will be hoping to impress the judges in the final assessment round having won the Chamber’s tech and innovation prize last year for their work on remote monitoring on water safety. Managing Director Carl Baker said: “Our team work hard all year round to achieve the highest industry standards for our clients across the UK so it means a huge amount to us all to be recognised as one of the leading medium or large sized businesses in our region with this finalist placing. “We are due to celebrate our 30th anniversary next year, having lived and worked in the Black Country throughout that time, so being held up as one of the shortlisted companies by our local Chamber of Commerce feels like an achievement already. “I would like to thank all of the team at Nant, our suppliers and partners, as well as our customers, for supporting us as we continue to grow.”

The business is active in the community, supporting dementia-related causes including sponsorship of the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre’s Memory Café tour of care homes.
