A big supporter of good causes in the community, Nant Ltd has extended its charitable giving by donating £500 to a South African charity caring for sick and injured dogs.
Nant donated £500 to ARRC Animal Relief for Rural Communities to fund the building of a dog house for sick and injured dogs living in rural African communities can recuperate after treatment.
Established in 2021, ARRC is a not-for-profit charity with a mission to provide veterinary care, food and shelter to animals in need, while also supporting and educating the communities they call home. The donation will support the cost of materials including bricks, concrete, window and door frames required to build a large dog shelter.
Nant said: “As part of our CSR strategy we are keen to support good causes that are close to the hearts of our colleagues, customers and the community. We were approached by a previous customer and friend of ours, Tracey Mobley from Voyage Care after she emigrated to South Africa.
“Tracey has been a good friend and loyal customer of Nant’s and asked if we could support the funding of a dog house for sick and injured dogs. We were delighted to support ARRC and thrilled to see their plans becoming a reality.”
ARRC representative Tracey Mobley commented: “I would just like to express my own gratitude to Nant. Before I moved to South Africa I worked for Voyage Care and formed a solid business relationship with the Nant team which has continued since moving to South Africa. I simply cannot thank them enough for their loyalty and support.
“The dog house will allow ARRC to improve the lives of wild, working and companion animals living in rural South African communities. The centre provides essential vaccines, deworming, flea and tick removal as well as treatment for transmissible venereal tumours (TVT), a curable form of cancer that requires life saving action and a safe space to recover following treatment.”
