FAQs

Are the kits easy to use and affordable?

Legionella temperature kits are easy to use and affordable. Nant recommends them as a valuable investment for any business or organisation that wants to protect its employees and customers from Legionnaires’ disease.

What temperature should I be looking for?

Legionella bacteria can cause Legionnaires’ disease, a serious respiratory illness that can be fatal. The bacteria thrive in water temperatures between 20 and 45 degrees Celsius, so it’s important to keep your water system at a safe temperature.

Can I not use a regular thermometer or domestic temperature measuring device?

If you have a water system, you should consider using a legionella temperature kit. It’s an easy and affordable way to protect your employees, customers, and visitors from a serious illness. Domestic thermometers are not designed to measure the temperature of water systems. They are typically not accurate enough to detect the narrow temperature range that is ideal for the growth of Legionella bacteria.
