In the first regular update, Nant MD Carl Baker reports on a positive start to 2022 for the leading water safety specialists:
Nant has got off to a flying start to 2022, with a number of highlights already achieved and plenty more to come for the rest of the year.
We are growing our team, revenues have continued to increase, we are reaching more people than ever before with news of our business – and we even made a TV appearance for good measure.
Our business has continued to grow during the first quarter of 2022. Revenues have increased and we are continuing to generate new opportunities for Nant, including extending our gas services and securing new clients for water safety expertise.
To meet this demand the Nant team is growing. We have appointed Abbie Loveitt as HR manager for the business, to provide people leadership support as we expand our team as part of our growth strategy.
Nant has plans to build for the future, expanding into new areas. Abbie’s appointment is one of a number of additions expected as we shape our business amid the changing market need.
We are actively recruiting in other areas, with vacancies for legionella risk assessors, water hygiene specialists and legionella plumbing specialists. To find out more visit our website (Nant Careers (nantltd.co.uk))
Having won awards with InComm Training and Nachural in the second half of 2021, we have had three more finalist placings already this year.
After making the shortlists for awards organised by the Business Desk and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Nant is in the running for the small to medium sized business prize at the Express & Star Business Awards, to be announced in June.
As well as receiving recognition for the progress we are making, Nant are promoting our work more regularly with updates ranging from news of our success in apprenticeships to our work in giving back to the local community.
Everyone at Nant is committed to making a positive difference to the community where we live and work. With this in mind we are supporting a range of local good causes, including those who work with people living with dementia.
As well as fundraising through charity efforts, we are funding a tour by a dementia café, organised by Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, to entertain people in care homes across the West Midlands.
Within the business, we continue to support our staff, seeing them as our greatest asset. It was pleasing therefore that colleagues have described the company as a ‘positive place to work’ in our first annual colleague engagement survey.
Recruiting new staff and helping them in their work is a challenge for every business so it was pleasing that Nant was featured by a BBC TV news team looking at the employment picture for our region.
I would like to thank all our colleagues, customers and partners for everything you have done to support our success so far in 2022. I look forward to providing further updates in the months ahead.
