Our Legionella water sampling service, conducted in accordance with BS 7592, helps detect unwanted Legionella bacteria, supporting industry compliance and maintaining safe water systems.
Our fully qualified water hygiene engineers follow a structured approach, ensuring accurate and compliant testing:
- Site assessment – Identifying hot and cold sentinel outlets that require sampling.
- Sterile sampling – Collecting water samples carefully to prevent contamination before laboratory testing.
- UKAS analysis – Sending samples to independent UKAS-accredited laboratories for detailed analysis, including colony count and serogroup identification. (Please note: It takes 10 to 15 days for bacterial colonies to grow and provide accurate results).
- Remedial recommendations – Providing actionable advice and best practice solutions based on laboratory findings.
