Understanding Legionella

The Legionella risk

Legionella bacteria thrive in warm water environments and can cause severe respiratory illnesses, such as Legionnaires’ disease, when inhaled through aerosolised water droplets. Showers are one of the main sources of exposure and should therefore be fitted with a suitable Legionella shower head filter, which act as a critical barrier by eliminating bacteria and significantly reducing the risk of infection.
