Water Hygiene Specialist
Summary:
As a Water Hygiene Specialist you’ll help ensure our clients’ water systems remain safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards. You’ll be part of a team delivering vital services to various sectors, including care and healthcare environments.
Day-to-day activities within this role include:
- Conducting monitoring and maintenance of water systems in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274
- Temperature monitoring & flushing
- Dynamic risk assessments (including Risk Assessment basics)
- Water sampling, collection, and analysis
- Shower descaling and exposed shower servicing
- Clean and disinfection of water systems (hot and cold)
- Cistern inspections and draining using pumps/syphon
- Chlorine testing/top-ups, chemical/peroxide tests
- TMV and Thermotap servicing (Plumbing Level 1)
- CWSC isolations, mains bypass & disinfection
- Legionella audits and tracker investigations
- Humidifier disinfection & Chem4 sampling
- Installation and monitoring of L8 Remote systems
- Reactive works, and investigations following positive water samples
